Katelin's BIRTHDAY #7

Present opening before school.  I LOVE her expressions when she opens presents.  She is so much fun.  I wish we could give her a cool present daily to see this.........I may begin wrapping her cereal or outfit every
morning just too see this face, hahahaha!  Wouldn't that be an AWESOME start to each day?!  hehehaha.

SO happy to get roller skates.
tools for outside in the yard.
Her much desired Hello Kitty Headphones.  She's wanted these forever.
Here was the set up before she woke up.  The kids each made her their own card and wrote on it.  Kaiya's was more of a book with minions, it was so cute.  I loved her messages.  And Kaleb's was Adventure Time and he made her a little cubie guy also.  They are such fun.

And a skateboard!  I'm excited to see her get good on this.
We got everything decorated outside and had an AWESOME friend party after school.

We had over Emma, Garret, Jeni, Elise, Peter and Micah.  What a fun group!  We played on the slip 'n slide, did water balloons, jumped on the trampoline, opened presents and had cake.  We had a blast!!

Kaiya did a great job being in charge of the water balloons.  We bought a cool container that you'd fill up with water to fill the balloons and then it had a way to tie it right on it.  It is the best!
 Katelin and Jeni had races.

Kaleb made a shield out of tin foil.  Always creative.
Peter carried as many balloons as he could.
CAKE time!!!!!!!  She picked out a bunch of cakes she liked online, so we surprised her with a chocolate seven with paisley designs.  And we had to add a "You're SO" sign since her whole 6th year Burke would always say 'You're SO six!" when she would say something funny.  We had to add it, we couldn't just stop saying that!

Opening presents.  She got some awesome things.  Such generous friends.

Talking with Aunt Erin, the other birthday girl.  Erin sang to her so Katelin sang right back to her, it was adorable!
Afterwards she practiced on her new skateboard and roller skates.  She's gonna be amazing.
 Birthday pizza.!!!!!!!!!!!

What a perfect day.  So happy she had so much fun on her Birthday.  WE LOVE YOU KATELIN!!!!!!

Guitar concert

This is the only pic I got of the concert!  I was too busy filming, I guess.  I always love going to these concerts and see what the kids wanted to learn and see how they come together and the talent they have if they work!  I think Burke does a great job with them and its great to see these shows.  There were a lot of good ones.  I was glad I remembered to go since it was in the middle of the day!

1st grade plays

The first graders made their own plays.  Katelin's group was her, Emma, Garret and Elise.  They had to do something in their play to help someone and solve a problem.

Katelin was asleep in the bed, she decided her name would be Mrs. Dalton - which is our sweet neighbor that lives behind us.  I thought that was cute.  The others were animals.
The mouse chewed on the power cord and so the power went out, so she grabbed the tool box and flashlight and they fixed it.

So they had a party with snacks, then the power went out again at the end and they screamed and laughed., hahaha!  Too cute!
 Katelin's wig cracked me UP!

Lezly, Kambre and Kaleb got to be the stage crew.  Mrs. Hunt gave them a box of microwave popcorn and life savers with a cute saying and a pic of them in first grade.  What a sweetie.
And I saw this cute girl there!
I didn't know they were going to be able to come watch too.  I was happy to see all my cuties there.  :)

Generous sweetie pie!

When we were in SLC over the weekend we stopped in at Lowe's to get some things we needed.  We stopped and looked at the model kitchens there for fun.  We loved different parts of the kitchens.  Katelin got excited when she saw this sign since she had money from her birthday she could spend and wanted to buy the kitchen for us.  We had to tell her that wasn't the price of the kitchen.  It was so sweet that she would even think to spend that on our family though.  We just LOVE her!

Party with the cousins

We headed to SLC to party with cousins at Omi's.  Katelin was so excited to have a cousin party since she never does.  We had a morning party at 9am and had donuts.

The cute bday girl (a week before her bday)

 The moms.
 The sista's!
Opening presents, I just love watching all the kids and their excitement in giving also, seriously sweet.
We gave the kids octopus that slide down the glass and a light up ring.
Then we headed out to a park down the road.  It was a perfect time, only ones there!
 YAYyyyyyyyyyy!
Katelin being blocked by the big guy, hahahaha!  Fun watching these kids and dads play b-ball.

What a FUN kick off week to her bday!

Hangin' out in the canyons...

We got to hang out with Grandma and Grandpa Simmons, Chalei, Candice, Elena and Myra.  Erin and Q joined us too since they didn't get to see us earlier in the day for Katelin's party with the cousins.  We were SO happy they came.  We didn't want to miss them while we visited!

Walks and helping little ones push strollers.
 Catching gross things.
Trying to wash of sludge, EWE!
 Visiting.
 Cooking.
 Playing/loving.
 Bonding.
THUMBS UP!  We loved every second.
Burke and Cal even took turns playing some tunes for us.

On Sunday we got to go to the Spanish ward that Cal and Cyndy are missionaries over.  It was fun, the kids loved to wear the headphones and listen to the translator.
