Snow much fun

When it snowed a while back the kids played in it lots and lots.  I don't know how they last that long, they were bundled up pretty good.
After I looked at the pics this one cracked me up, each time they'e throw snow up into the air Kaiya's scarf would fly up in her face.  hahaha, it looked so funny.

 Snow angel time.
 Pretty sweet icicles.
Kaiya said she even made a toilet.  Oh the creativity.
Katelin had to sit on it too.  They made a whole house and stomped down the snow for hallways and bedrooms and everything!
Here each of them are lying in their beds.

YAY for imaginations!!!!!!!!

Decorations

This is the third year some friends and I have gotten together and done an ornament exchange.  I made these lil' trees
We chose to keep the candy cane striped one.  I forgot to take pics of all the ones I received, they are so sweet.  I love this tradition.
 Here's some of our decorations...

My friend had a little class and got all of the materials for us to make these cute Christmas count downs.  We had to bring our own paper.  We love ours.
And we finally got a frame for this huge Noah's Ark puzzle picture Burke and I did back in Logan!!  It traveled and stored well, so happy its on the wall, I just love it.

Room make over

For Christmas my siblings and I redid this room for my mom.  I remembered I wanted a before picture after the room had already been starting the tearing down.  So here's the mid-mess.  We had to scrape off two layers of wallpaper border...that was awful.  Burke moved bookshelves around like crazy for us while Robyn & I painted everywhere.

Here is after:  we brought up the daybed so it could be used again.  Also my mom wanted the kids to have a place to hang out when all of us adults are upstairs too, they like to be near us, unless they're down watching a movie on the big screen.  So all the toys are in the closet.  We got all the matching frames on the wall during Black Friday.  They will soon be filled with the grandkids art and other pics.

I got this table from Ikea.  The cute chairs my mom had given me to redo a long time ago.  So now, I did!  Juli had the little shelf that was my moms years ago, Tiff painted it and put some kids puzzles, books and crayons on it.

Burke found this small desk that fit perfect between the two bookshelves that needed to stay in the room.  He set it up so that movies can be played in here too.  My mom loved it.  So glad we could make the room bright with the spring twig green paint and functional again.  Yay!!!!

Birthday in Disneyland

The day we were going to leave to CA there was a knock at the door and our Home Teachers wife brought me a cake!  I was so surprised.  The other day Kaiya had asked me what kind of cake I liked, she was so sneaky about it, I didn't think anything of it.  They pulled it off.  What a sweet surprise.

We went with Ryan, Erin and Q.  We met them in Cedar City and then drove with them the rest of the way to CA that night.  We got there about 3 in the morning, slept and then headed out to play.  It was a lot of fun to drive with them.

She cracks me up trying to get the sword out of the stone.
Pull HARDER guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was so funny.  Darth Maul starred the boys down as he passed them.  It was so funny.

The girls chose these Minnie Mouse ears, they are adorable.  Kaleb chose some Monsters Inc. characters that he is displaying in his room...and playing with.  It was fun to let them choose something.

My buddy and me on the mater ride.

Candice came with her girls for a couple days.  Elena was too cute on the bugs ride, just cracking up.
Burke was an awesome pb&j maker!  We loved having snacks with us to just eat quickly and then go on rides again.

Look at that tree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Burke set this up for my birthday, so cute, I loved it all.
The castle was just beautiful.  One night Katelin and I were going to find Ryan's family and on main street they turned out the lights so everyone would stop and just had twinkling lights on and then the castle turned all white and then a purple tint, and then white again and it looked like diamonds, while this pretty song played over the speakers.  Everyone quietly listened, then the snow making machines blew out fake snow over main street and it smelled like gingerbread.  We were in heaven, it was such a fun moment with Katelin.
Cute tea cups.

Us girls has reservations to eat lunch at Arial's Gratto, where we met a lot of Princesses.  First you get a picture with Ariel. She asked the girls names and when Katelin told her her name she said that she has a mermaid friend named Katelin!  She asked Katelin if she was a mermaid sometimes, Kate thought that was awesome and kept giggling and telling me about it.  "She thought I was a mermaid!!!!"  hahaha

The kids and Erin got their faces painted, the ladies did an awesome job, really cool.
The Christmas decorations were awesome!
This was Katelin's favorite ride, yes - The Tower of Terror.  Hahahaha!  AND It's a Small World, whew.

What a FUN birthday to spend in such a magical place with people I LOVE so much!!!
