The getaway

One day I had just had "enough".  :)  I just needed to get out...somewhere, anywhere!  So I said see ya later for a few and headed tooooooo....the store.  hahaha, only place to go here, really.  I went up and down each isle and looked at everything.  I actually really enjoyed myself.  There's probably a good 7 isles to look through, it was great.  It had been snowing and I've always loved these lights they strung up during Christmas time.  I went home and grabbed the camera and left again.  Took a bunch of pictures of the beautiful night.

JUST what I needed!  It was the perfect getaway.  :)

Katelin and her guitar

How sweet is this girl?!!!!!!!!!  I love her SO much!  She got this darling Little Mermaid guitar for Christmas.  She loves to play Are You Sleeping on it.  We need to learn something else too  :).

She decided to play and sing for her class when it was her turn for show and teach.  She did a great job!  She said it was embarrassing, hahaha.  I love that she still did it and the kids loved it.

She let them each strum it as she held it.

Love this sweet girl!

Fancy Nancy Party

Pam Hunt, the first grade teacher at Book Cliff Elementary, always does a Fancy Nancy Week with her students.  They learn new fancy words and do a lot of fun activities.  On the Friday of that week they all get to come dressed up FANCY and have lunch with their reading buddies, the 6th graders.  I happen to have BOTH a first and a sixth grader this year, I got lucky!  I got to go help, it was so much fun, I loved it ALL!

Katelin with her reading buddies, each 1st grader gets two buddies, since there's only 11 1st graders!
Kaleb and a classmate are reading buddies to little Ellie.
Mrs. Maughan taught them some French words.
Jordanne taught Katelin how to open up her fan in a fancy way, haha.
All of us Fancy mama's here to help, with Mrs. Hunt.
Mr. Hughes read them a Fancy Nancy book about Etiquette, I think and they also watched a video on etiquette before their fancy lunch.
This was my group of helpers.  We were in charge of getting the ice cream ready in the cups with a cookie.
They had fruit, sandwiches, crackers with cheese, ice cream, cheese/pickle/olive plate and sprite.  Us moms served them.  They were too cute!

They had to walk around and mingle.  Mr. Hughes would ask a question and they had to mingle and tell someone your answer.  Then he'd change the question and they'd find someone else to talk to.

At the end they got with their new reading buddies.  Katelin now has Kaleb and one of his best buddies, Kambre.  Katelin was SOoooooooo excited.

Kaiya Hope

Kaiya is 10

I loved spending time typing this up for Kaiya to see how I see her.  I love her so much.  Happy Birthday, sweet daughter KAIYA!!!!!!!!!!!  :)

Outside fun and picture fun!

The kids had lots of fun outside in the COLD.
I loved that I was there to capture this pic.  Boston was cold, so Kaiya was trying to give him her sparkly jacket and Katelin was kissing him on the cheek.  hahaha, he didn't want the jacket.  Don't blame him.

Juli was trying to speed read my Heaven is Here book.
Juli wanted pictures of her kids to put on her wall.  Here are some we got.  We went to the State Park, it was cold, but pretty.
