Meet Katelin and her...

...chicken, D red. They named her D red because she is the Dark Red chicken. Interesting name, I know. Katelin loves this one. She always goes out and catches this one. It's not like there aren't many others to choose from. We have ELEVEN chickens!!! This is just the one she likes best. She goes out back to have alone time sometimes, looks around and grabs this one. She much be quick because these things are fast. It is so cute to see her out there holding her chicken.

Hehahahehe! She kept turning it's head to look at me so I could take their picture. She is so funny.

Meet Kaleb and his...

...big balloon! He blew it up and up and up until it popped. I wish I had gotten a picture of that - HA! Funny!!!

swimming

Yay! The pool opened up this week so we headed over and played for a little while. It was a bit cold the day we went, so Katelin was in her towel most of the time and Burke was done after about 2 minutes - I didn't even get in. Kaleb and Kaiya had fun though even though they were a bit cold. I'm excited to have more swimming time. It's always a fun part of our summer.

All Day Camp FUN!

The Wednesday after school got out for summer we had our get ready for camp day. It turned out really fun and was great to get so much done in one day. We did our hike, cooked three different ways - got our skit down, finalized some role calls, decorated flip-flops and water bottles. We made decorations for our camp - WHEW! We crammed it all in and had fun doing it. Here's some pictures of our day:

My friend Kristi is the Camp Director this year. She helps out coaching Basket Ball and Volleyball, so to her everything needs to start with a little huddle cheer thing. I think it's a great idea! :) GO HIKE! Or something like that, I can't remember exactly what we said. (and the girl with her shirt covering her face would be Corrinne. Just so you know in EVERY picture, if you see this same thing - it's her. Silly girl! Except for one she let us see her face - so nice!)
One part we had to hang on to the fence and step over bushes to get around the sprinkler water. And if you weren't fast enough you would get sprayed, like Nina. Hehehehe.
Group shots:

We did it!!! Now to head back to the house after our hike.
Danielle and her sweet new baby, Cloey - (forgot how to spell her name - sorry baby!) We had this camp day at Danielle's house out near the Book Cliffs. It was the perfect place to accomplish all we needed to.
2nd years started their FIRE! They are proud.
Carlie actually washed off this flat rock to eat her food on. Mmmmmm.

The girls made cobbler. We added too much liquid, but it was still good.

And, we're ready! Next week we go. Fun, fun!!!

Ottley Family Reunion 2011

WOW, I added a ton of pictures! We had our Family Reunion on Saturday the 11th. It's always fun to go and hang out with family and have fun together. We slept over in my Grandma's back yard. Katelin and I slept in the back of our Acura with the seats down. It was perfect! We were warm and slept great all night - that is the way to go. Burke, Kaleb and Kaiya slept in our tent. We need to get a bigger one to fit us all, but for now I'm not complaining about sleeping in the car! When we got there some roasted hot dogs, we made tin foil dinners and then Smore's.

In Grandma's backyard she has this tiny little slide play thing for the kids and my kids played on that forever. I couldn't believe how much they loved it! I guess that was the only kid toy there though.

On Saturday we headed over to the Aurora City Park and started our fun.
Juli and Tiff practiced a song they and Robyn are going to sing at a big event. It was really fun listening to them, as usual. That's always been a fun memory of mine. And if we ever get together and there isn't guitar playing or singing, I feel like it was incomplete.

My dad took Kaleb and Riley out to shoot the bb gun. They really had a fun time with that, even though he needs a new one. They could only load one bb at a time and if you held it too low it would fall out. So they had to hold it up a bit and then hurry and shoot. Funny!

Us big kids did our own shooting in a different spot. There are no pictures of Burke and I shooting though. I should have asked someone to take some pics, cause boy are we good!!! HAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Cute Tiff and Rand getting ready.

Uncle Dean. He was going around taking pics of everyone - he got one of me with the girls - I'll have to get that one from him.

At the park Uncle Kendall set up a rocket launcher. Everyone made a rocket out of a plastic pop bottle. It was awesome watching them fly into the air. We didn't make one, our bottles were too big. Next year, watch out!!! :)

These next two pictures crack me up! My dad launched his and he flies back....
...and back to watch it go and go. See Randy, Arik and my dads face follow it. No picture of the rocket flying, but you can see where it's going by watching them. So funny!
The rocket awards ceremony.

Fun day. Love you family!!! :)
