Monument Valley/Navajo Mountain trip

I got to go with Burke on the Navajo Mountain/Monument Valley trip with the volleyball team.  I hadn't done that trip before, Kaleb has gone a couple times with him.  Cyndy came and stayed with the kids so I could go.  It was fun to see this part of Utah.  That top picture is called the Mexican Hat.
This was my first, and hopefully last, green smoothie spill!!!  It was actually pretty funny, since I was sitting by people who know me.  A lady who works there got me a huge towel to clean it all up and we had a nice conversation about green smoothies.  Hahaha!
This is Kelsey sitting next to me cracking up about the whole situation.  She's great.

We stayed in some apartments here.  It was pretty nice.

We went to a store before we headed home, look at all that SPAM!!!!!!!!!!!
The ride home was about 6 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!  REALLY long for a game.  My goodness!  Glad I got to have the experience at least once.  Whew!

Party time

When our husbands were off to their Priesthood session, us ladies and kiddos hung out at Omi's house and had a Halloween Party.  They dressed up in dress ups, not all of them had costumes yet, so we brought stuff to use.  We had a pumpkin hunt, by Juli in the backyard.  We ate soup, Tiff even brought some raw soups that were really yummy.

We were SILLY!

The kids colored on their pumpkins after they chose one.

Hahahaha, Q cracks me up with those faces!!

Decorated cupcakes.

Walked to aunt Hildi's in the next circle to have a Halloween parade...just for them,  hahaha!  It was too cute!  Love this of Omi and the grandkids.

Oakly was so sad that all the kids ran back to Omi's and Kaiya did not wait for her!  So Katelin ran back and walked with her.  It was adorable and Oakley just laughed the whole way back like they were having the best time.

Crazy face time...

Many of them tried on Oakley's wig.  I need to put a collage together with them all, so funny.
Omi filled them up with whipping cream.

I made journals and journal jars for all the cousins birthdays and gave them to all of them at once...done!  Whew!  I am always behind, so it's easier to get it all done at once.  And they loved them.  Some started writing away right then.  So happy they enjoyed it, even for a night.  :)

Conference time!!!

SOooooo, Burke was the shopper this year, enough said!  Hahaha!  He goes all out with the treats for conference.  We were at my moms this year, but decided to still put labels on treats (scriptures, prophets, temples, Holy Ghost, etc.) and when they hear that word during conference they get to take one treat out of that bag.  This year Burke also got small rootbeers and put the word, mothers, on them.  The kids couldn't wait for them to say that!  It was pretty funny.  They really do listen well with this set up and hang out with us a lot more, which I love.
Mom likes to watch while she crochet's, of course!
I loved conference, as usual.  I mean who doesn't!  So that's kind of a silly thing to always say, but I just do.  I love the different yet similar topics that are spoken of.  I love time with family.  I love getting to know the personality more of our prophet and apostles, I love the lessons they have learned in life that they so willingly share with us.  I love how they look into the scriptures and study them in such an amazing way.  It helps me to know better how to study and look differently at the scriptures.  Some talks that stood out to me this conference were:
Because I Live, Ye Shall Live Also  by, Shayne M. Bowen
The First Great Commandment  by, Elder Jeffrey R. Holland
The kids and I got to go with Burke for his High Council rotation to Castle Valley on Sunday.  The topic was just to speak on anything from conference.  As I listened to the talks again, I loved a couple of the talks from the priesthood session about helping others be there best and seeing them as Heavenly Father see's them so they can become that person.  The talks I used for my talk were:
Help Them High  by President Henry B. Eyring
See Others As They May Become  by President Monson
Then I also shared a little from First Observe, Then Serve  by Linda K. Burton
I loved these talks and the sweet way they speak of others and how to help and lift them up. What a blessing it is to have all of these wonderful talks to study from along with the scriptures every 6 months!!!  :)
