I've joined the bloggers club! I always see my friends cute pages and it's so much fun to see updates on their families. So I thought we should do it too.
We're enjoying living here in Green River so far. The biggest event here just happened - Melon Days. It was so much fun. Some of both Burke's and my family came to celebrate with us. We loved having family in town. We watched a parade, let the kids go on the free rides time and time again, ate free melon, went to the "beach" later on and the boys caught lizards. Anyone is invited to join us next year. It's always the third weekend in September!
The people here are so welcoming also. It's easy to become a member of the town. Everyone knows who you are before you even move here anyway, they hear about us through what locals call the "Green River Gossip". The other day I was at the community center signing Kaleb up for soccer and the head lady came up to me and introduced herself and asked if I liked to do crafts. I said I liked to scrapbook. So now I am signed up to teach a couple classes a month to kids that go to hang out there after school. So now I guess I am officially a part of the community. :) That should be fun, I'm excited.
