the random train

For some reason every spring this same train shows up across the street and hangs out for about a week or so.  It seems like forever because it stays ON the WHOLE TIME.  So we have this lovely buzzing sound and at night........

...........these lights shine and SHINE through our windows, luckily we can shut our bathroom door, but it serves as a nice night light for Kaleb's room, I guess.  Hahaha!  We are never sad when it leaves.

Dance pictures

The girls have been taking dance from Danielle Holyoak this year.  It is finally time to show off the dances they learned!  We are excited to go and watch them this Friday.  I got to take pictures of all of the dance classes.  Here are Kaiya and Katelin's individual and group pictures.  They turned out so cute.  Danielle did a great job with the cute costumes.

Each of the girls got one of these 5x7's with their individual and two group pics.  They will be fun to have.

Conference weekend

This year we were going to go to SLC for conf, BUT then remembered it was the weekend of Junior Prom, which Burke is over and had to be there. SO we stayed home.  Which I LOVE.  I always print things out with the kids, this year I didn't do the packets though, just random conference word searches and crossword puzzles and a few other things.  And we made treats this time instead of buying a bunch and picking them out of the bowl that has that word on it - Katelin missed that, we may have to do that again next time just for her.
The boys listened to conference at the HS since Burke had to be there while the DJ set up all day!  Us girls had fun hanging out together.  I LOVED it so much.
Katelin had to throw in a goofy face.
This year I saw a doodle book for adults and older kids that like to take notes.  It cost to print it, so I decided to create my own!  Burke helped me get started in a program called Inkscape.  It was really fun.  I found all my doodles and images on google images.  I loved coloring and taking notes with the kids.

It was fun asking the kids questions at the very end and learning that they really did hear and grasp things from conference.  It helped that I threw out starburst when they told me something, that helped them think a little better, :).  I'm so grateful for conference and the understanding and refreshment it brings me.

Jr. Prom

Burke's class he is over at the High School are JUNIORS this year, too crazy.  So the Junior Prom is the BIG dance at this school and they go all out.  Family comes also, so we got to bring the kids, I know crazy, but true!  They were super excited to dress up, well the girls were.  :)

They decorated the entrance to the dance with pics of each Junior like this with some sort of red in them.

I was sneaking pics in the background while they were getting their pics taken.  Gaylene does such a great job!  The kids did everything for the backdrop.  It was a Movie Star theme, too cute.

Heading out to meet dad at the dance............Kaleb is NOT upset, this is just his face in pics lately.  We can laugh later, hehe :)

They even learn a dance and we all watch, it was seriously AWESOME!  LuRey Vetere is in charge of it and she does a great job each year.  Afterwards each Junior dances with a parent, so sweet.

Burke was the Ticket guy.  Too cute.  The Tux he had to buy for a choir he was in in College has really gotten its money worth with all the dances we've gone too, NICE.

One of the Juniors moms, Julie Spadafor, did all the decorations for the food area, she is amazing!

They even got a DJ this year, it was really cool and LOUD.  The kids LOVED it!  The fog even set off the fire alarm at one point, hahaha, and they blew a breaker once also.  Lots of excitement.

April FOOLS

Burke and I like to do funny things for the kids each year on April Fools, just because they LOVE it.
This year Burke put on his head light and when the kids were asleep he painted the girls nails all different colors and Kaleb's he painted April Fools on them, perfect 5 letters on each hand!  Kaiya was the funnies in the morning and SO confused how her toe nails got painted, when I mentioned her finger nails then she was really shocked because she KNEW how those were painted before!  Then everyone started noticing theirs, too fun.

Beads in the shoes were a hit...........

............until they were dumped all over the floor, joke was then on ME!
A good morning note was rolled up into the toilet paper.
Then later on we did one last funny:  donut flowers!!!!!!
The kids, well mostly Kaleb then started doing things for us.  The big one was they drew pictures of faces on a bunch of different sheets of papers and taped they all over our bathroom and signs would say "I've got my eyes on you", hahaha.  So funny.
